TBWA\ South Africa is an integrated group of specialised marketing and communications service providers compromising of activation, advertising, brand strategy, design, digital, promotions, public relations, research, retail and shopper marketing amongst others; and representation in 40 African countries.

We started out as Hunt\Lascaris in Johannesburg in 1983 and have consistently been acknowledged as South Africa’s foremost creative agency ever since. In 1990 we opened offices in Cape Town, and we opened offices in Durban in 1996.

In 1997 TBWA\Worldwide purchased a majority share in Hunt\Lascaris which made it part of the world’s 15th largest network at the time. It was a perfect match at the time and still is to this very day.

In 1995 we launched our very own PR agency, Magna Carta, which went on to become Finweek’s Specialist Agency of the Year for four years running. Magna Carta is widely recognized as the number 1 PR agency in the country.

TEQUILA\ launched as a CRM and sales promotion agency in 1998, which eventually grew to become a top Digital specialist agency in South Africa. TEQUILA\ is a future trends and strategic digital creative agency with a passion for all things digital. Today, TEQUILA\ has a strong worldwide presence and offices locally in Johannesburg and Durban.

In 2002 we decided to continue and innovate our service offering by launching E-Graphics, our independent print and production company.

Recognising the value of specialist marketing and branding we acquired Yellowwood in 2008. Yellowwood specialises in uncovering strategic insight, developing robust strategies and designing brand identities.

We launched Integer in 2009. Integer is a world leader in retail, sales promotion and shopper marketing. It’s well known worldwide for it’s exceptional knowledge and expertise in the shopper marketing space.

We're also the coordinating office for all TBWA\ agencies in the African network, which affords us optimal integration across the continent.
